Terms of use
Terms for using PlugTally estimates, accounts, saved data, content and exports.
Use PlugTally for general household information and estimates. You are responsible for checking the figures entered and deciding whether a result is suitable for your purpose.
Estimates, not guarantees
Results depend on the assumptions and figures used. Actual energy use can vary by appliance model, settings, temperature, cycling, condition and household behaviour. PlugTally does not guarantee bill savings, product performance, future tariffs, availability or uninterrupted operation.
Accounts
You may use the calculators as a guest or create a free account. You are responsible for keeping your password private and for activity carried out through your account. Use an email address you control and do not try to access another person’s data.
Account features may depend on third-party services and may occasionally be unavailable. Keep your own exported backup where saved information is important.
Saved data
Guest data may be removed when browser storage is cleared. Signed-in data is intended to sync through the account service, but successful syncing should be checked before relying on it. PlugTally may place reasonable limits on stored history or data volume to keep the service usable.
Safety and professional decisions
PlugTally does not provide electrical repair, installation, medical, legal or financial advice. Do not open appliances or bypass safety features. The cooling-size tool is not a substitute for a professional heat-load calculation.
Marketing
Marketing emails are optional and separate from the account required for saving data. Account administration and security emails may still be sent where needed to operate the account.
Changes
PlugTally features and these terms may be updated as the service develops. Continued use after an update means the latest terms apply.
