How the estimate works
Metric area is converted using 10.7639 square feet per square metre, then placed in the specified baseline capacity chart. Heavy shade reduces the baseline by 10%, strong sun increases it by 10%, each regular occupant above two adds 600 BTU/h, and a kitchen adds 4,000 BTU/h.
The raw adjusted result and approximate cooling kW are shown alongside the next common capacity band. A high ceiling triggers a warning rather than an invented multiplier. Areas above 2,500 sq ft are not extrapolated and require a professional heat-load calculation.
